Much Wenlock Forester Charitable Trust
The Trust considers applications for grants in accordance with its Objectives, as set out in the Trust's Deed, for both individuals and groups/projects.
The Objectives are to relieve financial hardship, sickness and poor health amongst elderly people resident in the area of benefit, including the funding and/or provision of specially designed or adapted housing and items, services or facilities calculated to relieve the needs of such persons.
NB: the “area of benefit” is: Much Wenlock and surrounding areas and the County of Shropshire.
We currently fund grants from the income generated from the original capital sum of £250,000 which has been invested. This provides an income of between £12,000 and £15,000 per annum dependant on the performance of the investments.
To the end of October 2018 we made 42 grants totalling £46,721.
For the 12 months ending at 31th October 2018 we made 13 grants totalling £14,016 an average of £1,078 per grant.
Grant Applications may be made at any time on one of the forms below. Whilst the Trustees currently meet quarterly applications may be considered between meetings.
